My First ColdBox-Powered Site Launched

Posted on September 27, 2007 at 6:26 PM in ColdBox, ColdFusion

It's actually been three or four days now, but I finally launched the LISD Council of PTAs site, my first one that is built on the ColdBox framework. The development process is so quick and intuitive with ColdBox.

I've been extremely busy with "kids stuff" of late, so I haven't had a chance to really do much else. Hopefully in the coming days I'll be able to set some time aside to post a couple of quickie ColdBox tutorials.

Hey Matt, I am just getting into ColdBox and I was looking for some tutorials. Do you still plan on posting any? Thanks!

@ Chris - Welcome to the world of ColdBox! As I have time, I do indeed plan on posting some tutorials on the topic. I don't really have a time frame for them right now, as I am under an enormous workload and list of deadlines. In the meantime, I'm posting little things that pop up as I go along. Hopefully those will at least help fill in some of the gaps.

Matt, thanks for the response. Do you know of any sites that have tutorials? Or do you think the best way is to dissect the samples?

@ Chris - Be sure to check out the ColdBox trac site ("documentation" link at the bottom of the post). ColdBox is, in my opinion, hands-down the most documented framework out there. There are nearly 300 pages of documentation. Be sure to check out the various Guides on the trac site. The very basics are covered in the My First App Guide (link below), but there are a ton of other guides that should serve to get you well on your way.
